What am I missing here? Don't the cubs need a 5th starter? It's not going to be Jerome Williams or Glendon Rusch.

I already have Marshall in my NL only league. The schedule looks great and his bad ERA is luck driven, just check out his whip if you need proof.

I watched this guy pitch against Pittsburgh when the Cubs won 11-6. The slow lefty curve he throws is really good and fooled a lot of the batters. I actually thought about picking him up in one of my leagues tonight, but I guess I'll hold off.

The maddux trade rumors are complete bs. Where do you guys get your information from?

Sean Marshall (CHC)

Now check this out...he is scheduled to face the following teams in May:

Pitt
SD
SF
WAS
FLA
ATL

Now I know having Cubbie SPs on your team is like playing russian roulette but you have to admit that is a very favorable schedule. What do you think? I'd be curious to hear what some of the guys who follow prospects heavily have to say...

interesting...I definitely like looking ahead at matchups. It's tough to gage since there are always changes (rainouts, starters flipping positions, injuries, etc.) but thanks for the info.

Anyone banking on Wood or Prior coming back and sticking are definitely optimists.

They gotta favor Guzman in the future over Marshall, imo.

I frankly don't much about Marshall. Is he a high ceiling guy or just a guy with some decent pitches who could nab a few wins against the crummy teams he faces in May?

His minor league numbers look pretty darn good, almost a K/inning, walks a little bit more than I would like, but looks to have a decent upside.

A day earlier with this would have been nice. He got picked up in my league. Darn.
