that will undoubtedly change when he pitches in Philly

Other than the injury history (which I don't know all that much about), I've only heard good things about this guy.

What kind of injuries has he dealt with?

I sure hope Hamels can stay healthy. If he does, he has the most upside of any pitcher in the minors.

I think Hamels, Guzman, Lester, Bill, Pelfrey, Carrilla, & Bailey are all future #1's.

Not a big Lieber fan, but if they live up to the hype, watch out NL East.
And all people can talk about is the Mets.... :-o

Just thought I would update this thread, and share Cole's Triple A Scranton debut:

7.0 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0.43 WHIP, 14 K, 0 BB, W 8-o 8-o

His 14K was one shy of the Scranton record for one game by a pitcher!!! Did I mention this was his Scranton debut?!? :-)

I don't think this guy isn't guy is going to be in Scranton very long.

Kinda reminds me of Brett Myers' tenure in Scranton, where I just happened to be doing my internship that summer. He had a buzz following him when he came up and for the most part met expectations and he wasn't there very long. Believe it was June-July he got the call after only a few starts. Funny sidenote, I was there covering the game where he plunked Drew Henson and Henson charged him, starting a bench-clearing brawl.

As for Hamels, I have the #1 priority in my league and am following this situation closely.
