What to do With Vlad Back?

I just created a new problem. I still have to drop someone for Vlad to play because I picked up Harden for Dotel before the Oakland game. He pitched well, so I'll keep him but who should I drop?

I'm thinking Williamson and giving up on saves. I'm 15 back now and the team ahead of me has Wagner, Percival, Izzy and Borowski, so I don't think I can catch him. I fear that if I try and pick up another closer with a bad ERA, my ERA will suffer and I may not even catch up in saves anyway. I'm also 43 IP OVER, if that helps. Thoughts?

My team again (4-TEAM LEAGUE- so there's no mistaking this time ;-))

2 A. Boone

SS Nomar
OF Manny
OF Berkman
OF Giles
Util Delgado
Bench Bagwell Chavez Posada
SP Halladay Wood Zito Oswalt Wolf Webb J. Williams Harden
RP Foulke

thanks for the help

According to this, you have an empty pitching spot. Do you still have to drop someone?
Yes doctor, I am sick.

Yes, I still do. Sorry for the confusion- I just don't have anyone playing in that spot everyday, like Dotel did.

I'd probably give up on the saves then and dump Willamson. Just make sure you get Vlad back in there soon. ;-D

Madison, I know you're against tanking a category but do you agree that I should tank saves and drop Williamson? Since its only a 4-team league, I figure you don't lose as many points by tanking a category as in deeper leagues. I'm currently 9 points ahead of the 2nd place team, and last in saves, so it would be the status quo I think. Agree?

am i missing something? what happened to dumping bagwell? personally I would dump someone on your hitting bench since you dont play them, and i doubt someone in your 4-team league is in need of mediocre hitting.

i play in 8-team H2h and some other 12-team public. I have the most fun in 8-team because 1) i know everyone so its easier to haggle on trades 2) i can have some good players without overdoing it.

It sounds like a safe bet to me. Honestly, I've never played a league that small, so it's a little tougher for me to say. I'd agree that you won't drop as many points, but there are also less points to gain as well. I guess I might have to try a small league for fun next year and see what I think. ;-) In this case, I wouldn't blame you if you decided to tank saves. Now you can do it without me telling you to NEVER tank a catagory. :-D Lol. ;-)

thanks Madison. I was kinda hoping you'd say that ;-). I'll let you know how it turns.

Now, should I:
A. play Vlad over a slumping Delgado
B. play Vlad over Giles
C. play Vlad over Berkman
D. leave Vlad on the bench for awhile

They are all studs. I guess I'd bench whichever one of them is going up against the toughest pitcher.
