Lots of pitchers going today, who would you start?

Hey gang,

HtH league, 5X5 scoring

I have 5 possible starting pitchers today my opponent has none. He has Hasegawa and Worrell in relief

I'm up 8 - 2 and the pitching stats are as follows :

Wins : I'm losing 4 - 2

SV : I'm winning 2 - 1

K : I'm losing 45 - 29

ERA : I'm winning 1.44 to 3.58

WHIP: I'm winning 1.09 to 1.11

With the above in mind, which of these 5 would you start?

C Vargas (@ PHI), Leiter (@ ATL), H Ramirez (NYM), Odalis Perez (STL), R Hernandez (Sea)

my relievers are Gagne and Cordero

Any thoughts people? :) Thanks for any advice

Sorry I can't help too much, since I play in a shallow league and I don't follow these players. But definately DO NOT start Leiter. I wouldn't start Odalis against the Cards either, since it looks like Pujols has come out of his mini-slump and the rest of the offense is dangerous. I'd probably start Ramirez vs the Mets because, after all, the Mets are terrible. hope this helps a little

With WHIP being so close, Ramirez could give you enough of a hit to cost you that catagory too...and won't give you enough K's to catch up...I would bench them all...

Although it seems really strange to have 5 guys going and starting none .. I agree with you that its probably the best thing to do.

These guys are not my quality starts (they played earlier in the week), and I could be risking ERA and WHIP for a shot at Wins and K , which with this group may not happen anyways.

Bench em all!!!! :-t

I really don't like it, but I'd have benched all of them.
