How does this team look for the long term?

Postby vcuram » Mon Apr 10, 2006 11:50 pm

I'm in a huge, 20 team league right now. As of tonight, I'm in first, 30 FP ahead of second. I'm more than doubling the FP of the bottom few teams. Anyway, this is my first year playing a huge league like this. Here's how it looks:

20 teams
Roto scoring
Stats: R, H, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, IBB, HBP, FPCT, AVG, OBP, SLG, IP, W, L, SV, OUT, H, R, ER, HR, BB, K, SB, SVOP, ERA, WHIP

Here's my team:

C - Posada, R. Hernandez
1B - Teixeira
2B - Freel
3B - A. Ramirez
SS - JJ Hardy
CI - Morneau
MI - W. Betemit
IF - Gibbons
OF - C. Lee, Patterson, Langerhans, Lane
BN - W. Pena, A. Hernandez

SP - L. Hernandez, Ol. Perez, Verlander, D. Wells (DL), Pavano (DL)
SP/RP - Papelbon, Heilman, Davies
RP - Lidge, C. Cordero, Weathers, Miceli, Putz

I got a gift today when someone offered me Johan Santana straight up for Ryan Freel. I dropped Kubel and picked up Hernandez to fill in at 2nd (WW is very bare right now).

Anyway, with Freel gone, I'm lacking in SB. I also am trying to upgrade my Pena/Patterson platoon in the OF. Does this team have a chance at finishing first? What moves should I make?

Thanks for looking and I'll be sure to help out anyone that offers some advice.
