You might be a little lacking in speed...

Probably, you don't want Duchsherer either on your team. I have him on one of my teams, but it is because that league is very deep and a keeper league where I think he may turn into a closer one day.

Lugo helps with speed, but I'm not 100% sold that he's going to be as speedy this year as he was last year. If he drops back to 25 steals, then his value greatly decreases. Maybe try to package Lugo and somebody else for a better SS.

Your OF is great...your 1B is solid...2B is good...C is good...Beltre isn't great, but he could be due for a bounceback...love your SP...

The only question marks are SS and RP.

I don't know how other people feel about it but I don't like the back end of your rotation one bit...Livan, Santana and Westbrook do not impress me and Rotowire's projections on them are not pretty (all 3 project to whips in the 1.3+ range). However, Vazquez was a guy I've targeted in drafts this year and both Weaver and Penny are better than the 3 you have there. I'll let other people comment as well to see if there's a consensus on those guys but I would personally drop all 3 to pick up the trio on the FA list.

If this is a h2h league or a roto league with a high IP limit I would drop Duch for Escobar as well.

OF is sick, Starters are great, Closers are just okay

definitely drop Duch for Vazquez (unless your league tallies holds)...and keep an eye on Escobar

I like Escobar & Vasquez better than Westbrook & Dusch

That said - you should do well

The escobar/vaz > westbrook/dusch move sounds good.

As for ss - here are the FAs available:
guillen, hall, eckstein, uribe, greene, aurilia

Any of these serve as a worthwhile sub for lugo (I have a dl position to fill)?

I like Lugo better than anyone off of that list. Lugo will be fine...he just might not steal as much at the beginning of the year.

But would you still make the pitching changes above? How would that put my staff? Avg? Less than that?

I made a bet in 2003 that the Devil Rays would win the 2008 World Series. Oh so close.
