My First Keeper Draft with Minors

Postby Scout » Fri Mar 31, 2006 1:55 pm

I just did my first draft that involved minor league players. Did I come out okay? I probably took them way too early in the draft.

14 teams, 5th overall pick, snake format, 5x5 Roto, 40 rounds. I am allowed to keep all my minors if they stay there. In the parentheses is the round I chose the player.

M F. Liriano (7)
M D. Young (8)
M D. Pedroia (16)
M A. Marte (17)
M C. Billingsley (22)
M B. Butler (24)
M C. Snelling (25)
M C. Hamels (29)
M D. McGowan (34)
M R. Martin (33)
M H. Pence (35)
M C. Nelson (36)

Which of these players are projected to be in the majors at the beginning of the season (thereby disqualifying them from the minors in my league)? I know Liriano, but anyone else?

Also, I can only keep 10 players in my minor leagues; which one should I drop (currently it's at 12, but Liriano will probably start in the majors this year)?

Thanks for the help.

Just Liriano basically. Billingsley is close. So is Marte...if Aaron Boone falters, he should be up in the bigs.

You did take them quite early. Your team is going to be loaded in the future, but there may definitely be growing pains now.
