Yahoo Question: Can 2 people live draft for the same team?

Postby icepak » Wed Mar 29, 2006 6:29 pm

My buddy just joined a money league and doing a live draft tonight, but his computer is really buggy and often crashes during yahoo drafts. He want me to be in the draft room with him in case his computer dies just before a pick (it always seems to die just before his picks).

Now the question: Can we both log into his yahoo account and be in the live draft at the same time? (Would both of us be able to make picks/talk etc).

Thanks in advance

Have you tried it before, if so was there some kind of error message or one person can still watch but not be able to do anything.

Worst case scnerio I would draft for him, but it would be useful for him to be able to monitor the draft live since it is his team.

Not sure if you can. I know you can log into a yahoo account, open a draft room, log out, log in with a different user in the league and draft. I've done that in my keeper league when my friend was gone and he gave me his ID and PW. Not sure if two of the same ID's can have a draft room open.

I just joined an random league that's drafting now, turns out it won't work. once the 2nd person goes in, after couple minutes the 1st guy looses connection to the server.

Anyone got some good ideas on how he can observe the draft as real time as possible? draft result usually has a 1 - 2 round delay, availble players never change until after the draft too

Have you tried opening seperate browsers? I have IE and Firefox and can be signed into 2 different Yahoo accounts at the same time in seperate browsers (although I have never tried drafting 2 teams at once).

Be on the phone with him, have him start the draft and make sure he keeps players he wants in the next few rounds in the queue. If he gets bumped out he'll be on the phone with you and you can go on with your cpu. If it's his pick before you can get in to the draft, then it will pick someone he had in the queue as long as he keeps up with it. Then you can tell him what happens in the draft over the phone 'til it's done.

I"ve done it before. Drafted for my friend and my team at the same time by opening another browser. Once the java is loaded you won't get kicked or anything if you log onto another account.
