Bobby Jenks the next rick ankiel!?!?!?!

Postby wurthit » Mon Mar 27, 2006 1:28 am

I know its far fetched but does anyone else think this i possible?
Rick fell apart in the post season and now jenks had a good postseason and is falling apart. He is young and its early but i could see it happening.

Jenks was never as talented as Ankiel, its not fair to Rick to make this comparison.

I've heard reports Cotts could start season as closer. Is it that extreme yet? Would Hermanson take over for Cotts once he comes back?

Let's not forget that Jenks was released by the Angels last year. His lack of control didn't come out of nowhere.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

These aren't related in any way. It's not like it's the same thing. The only similarity is the WORD post-season :-b

That being said, it does look like ol' Bobby's struggling mightily.

Well, Jenks hasn't failed as bad as Ankiel, so it's not fair to Bobby yet either.

Hehehe :-b .

Ankiel's NOT done yet, he's moved to the OF!

Have there been reports that Jenks has crashed to Ankiel's level of 'challenges'? I know he's on Guillen's bad side from what I'd read in the Tribune. I have him stashed on the bench of one team in case he comes around but dumped him on another one. :-?

its an apples and oranges comparison.

but getting to what i think is your point...jenks is risky because control, maturity, health and fitness have always been issues for him.

The guy is a total headcase. The Angels released him for many reasons, one being his lack of control as someone mentioned. He also had severe personal issues, mainly due to his childhood, but nonetheless he is a mental case.

He was suspended by the Angels AA team a while back for bringing alcohol onto the team bus and getting so drunk that he took a lighter and burned a hole into the back of his hand the size of a silver dollar and his arms.

I also read somewhere that he once was screwing around in a pool area at a hotel and threw a chair that hit a 5 year old girl. He is just a total headcase.
You have no frame of reference, Donny. You're like a child who walks into the middle of a movie...
