I agree, u probly should have gone pitching earlier, but I understand the temptation to take the best available player. Take one of those guys who know nothing about baseball and get a good SP for some offense. No need to upgrade howard, last time checking 8 HR's already in spring training, this guy has 50 homer potential (and thats without roids, I hope :-o

Am i supposed to believe this?!?!?

Postby Camaroballa22 » Fri Mar 17, 2006 11:18 pm

You dont really think i believe you drafted that team do you????
I can understand only having two people show up, but that means they were given an autopick draft based on their pre-rankings.
So im guessing you went 1st second or third right? And you took a-rod. that means you didnt get to pick again until the 20th pick, where you took vladdy???????
then maybe tejada...with the 21st?
then you dont get to pick again until like....39th....where you got miguel cabrera..??!?! then maybe utley with the 40th pick??
where do you get victor and david wright?????
in the 60's?!?!?
i hate to call you a liar...but youll have to prove me wrong.
it is not possible that you got this sorry yur a liar.

How to explain

Postby imnottheonly » Sat Mar 18, 2006 2:47 am

If you have an account at cbssportsline you can see the draft results here: ... ft/results
Hopefully that works.
I did indeed draft this team I had the 7th overall pick. I do not know if the pre-rankings were out of wack or not but I am assuming they were. Mariano Rivera was the #1 ranked player! I am not making this shit up, if I were to make this team up dont you think I would have made up better pitching or some sort of speed?

Link doesn't work 'cause we're not in your league. Getting A-Rod with the 7th pick and then ya got Vlad too. Sounds like like you're either playing with a bunch of dummies or most of the owners have already abandoned their teams - won't be much of an accomplishment to win this one.

dont listen to these people, that pitching is god-awful.

yeah, that might be the best offense ever assembled in a 10 team league but come and play with some real managers and then try and bragging.

also, i dont believe that you got arod with the 7th. you can just post the whole draft instead of providing a link

Wow. Your team will be a fantasy Colts/Rangers. Great on paper but the pitching will kill you. Deal one of your catchers for some SP and you should be set. Unbeleivable tho. My team isnt that far behind tho.

Oh, I get it now. It is really easy to get a Team like that if alot of ppl dont show up and have bad rankings. it isnt that hard when Rivera and Cordero are drafted 1 and 2. Im not going to rank your team, because, though it is good, was obtained unfiarly. Im not saying you cheated, b/c you cant, but I wouldnt be bragging about it.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.
