Manager Bob Melvin said Friday that if Craig Counsell's shoulder keeps him out for an extended period of time at some point, Stephen Drew may start at shortstop.
The Diamondbacks moved up Drew's timetable by trading utility man Alex Cintron the White Sox. "He's a natural, an absolute natural at his position," Melvin said. "He has all the action down very well. You can see he has ball sense. He knows how to play guys, when guys are off a little too far. Instinctively, he gets over there."
Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.
