Roger Clemens Retiring

I heard his mother asked him to quit and spend more time w/ his family just before she passed. This would make a lot of sense that he would consider retiring before he appears to be ready. But his family has reportedly been encouraging him to keep doing what he loves. His inlaws live in Texas and he can be closer to family and still play this way. He is pitching very well, how can he give it up....too much of a competitor. I wish him well regardless, he is a amazing athlete.

he has friends and some family in the dfw area where the rangers are, but his home and his family is in houston.
which is why i say, there is slim to no chance if he pitches, that it would be in boston or ny.... unless it was just for the playoffs, or a playoff run
