Postby cnote1973 » Mon Mar 06, 2006 10:37 pm

Catagories are R, HR, RBI, SB,AVG, W, S, K, ERA, WHIP. Max games played 162, Max innings pitched 1250. Daily Lineups. This is my first roto league and here is what I ended up with (3rd pick by the way):

C J. Varitek
1B J. Giambi
2B C. Utley
3B E. Chávez
SS J. Reyes
OF R. Freel
OF M. Ramírez
OF J. Francoeur
Util L. Overbay
BN G. Anderson
BN C. Shelton
BN C. Biggio

SP C. Zambrano
SP J. Beckett
RP M. Rivera
RP F. Cordero
P J. Bonderman
PS. Kazmir
P M. Morris
BN K. Farnsworth
BN R. Madson

What do you guys think? I don't know how well I did for a Roto league since I always do head-2-head. Any input would be appreciated.

Your infield is pretty strong, though Giambi is a ? mark for a starting 1B. Manny is a great OFer, but you're losing tons of power using Freel, Francoeur, and Overbay. Freel should not be a OF starter, but on the bench. Are there some decent OFs on the WW?? Drop Biggio and pick up possibly a Gibbons type player.

Pitching isn't bad, you should have another RP who gets saves though. Wait till the season starts and see who pops up as a closer. You don't have much to trade with this team, so looks like any pick-ups will be off the WW.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

your team is decent... your pitching is the team's strong suit, but you'll need some luck I think since I don't really like your OF except Ramirez and hope that your infield guys like Chavez and Reyes can stay healthy throughout the season
