Almost me out!

I think I seriously contend here. How can I make it perfect? I've never won a public league before and I've got $50 with a friend that I can do it before he can!

Yahoo, 12 team, roto 5x5, drafted 6th...picks shown.

c - V Martinez (3)
1b - T Helton (4)
2b - F Lopez (8)
3b - R Freel (13)
ss - J Peralta (7)
of - M Ramirez (1)
of - S Podsednik (6)
of - C Tracy (10)
util - P Konerko (5)
bn - R Winn (12?)

Note: Tracy is going to qualify at 3b in April. How do I use that?

SPs - P Martinez (2), J Beckett (9), N Lowry (11), J Vazquez (17), C Pavano (21), Ol Perez (20)
RPs - T Gordon (15), T Jones (14), J Borowski (16), M Gonzalez (18), C Orvella (19)

I think this might be the season that you win your first H2H. I really like your offense. Good pop with Konerko, Tracy, Ramirez, Helton, V-Mart and even Peralta. Good speed with Lopez, Freel and of course Pods. I'd put Tracy over at 3rd when he qualifies and put Freel on your bench or as a fill in when necessary. I like Winn on the bench as well. He should be solid. Your SP looks good. I like Pedro and Lowry a lot. I think Beckett and Vazquez can both be good this year. Pavano and Olly are some pretty big question marks at the end of your rotation though. Pavano is going to miss the first few weeks due to his back, and Olly was horrible last year, although he supposedly has been looking much better this winter. Your RP should be solid. If Gordon and Jones can rack up the saves (which I think they are both capable of, it's just a matter of opportunity), then your other guys should be excellent at complimenting that with their own Saves and ERA/WHIP help. I really like your chances. If I was forced to pick 1 thing to change (which I wouldn't, but if you feel like changing anything), I might drop one of your lesser closers or trade him off for another solid OF bat, just in case of injuries.

I agree. Too many closers. I would try to dump/ trade one for another starting pitcher. And I though I read somewhere ( on this site maybe ) that Perez was getting roughed up in winter ball. But I guess I cant confirm that. Great team. Get one more SP and you are good.

you might be in trouble with pavano and o. perez... your offense looks good, and as for tracy, you might want to use him at 3b eventually if freel isn't getting a lot of at bats.
you can't live the dream, if you don't play the game
