This makes no sense for either party involved. Carmeron was brought in to play CF for SD. They dont' have someone else there who can do it full-time, so they're pretty much locked in with him.
Also, the Sox just dealt Marte, so they no longer have issues with him being blocked. Youk is finally going to start and is likely to play of the season. Also, they just got Crisp! They don't need a CF. You don't spend your top prospect on a CF then go out of you way by trading the guy who was blocking your top prospect for ANOTHER CF.
This trade would have sounded reasonable from the Red Sox's perspective a few weeks ago, but now I don't think either team would do it.
