Where did you hear this rumor from?

That would be something if that deal was to actaully happen.

Being Venezuelan I would tell you that Ozzie will try to get as many fellow country players as possible. Freddy Garcia is an example, who not only Venezuelan, but also married to Ozzie's daughter (or Ozzie's son married to his daugther, something like that).

Maybe the Abreu trade is not true, but someday you will see something similar happening, like Johan Santana, Carlos Guillen or Willie Taveras playing for the White Sox.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat as a Sox manager. Floydd has great stuff and just needs to develop a nice curve before being dominant, Abreu is 30/30 and speaks for himself. Contreras is good, but at times inconsistent, and the Sox staff is already fantastic and all the would lose is Contrras who would be replaced by either Mccarthy or Floyd himself.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

As a follow-up, none of the rumored Abreu trades were ever close to happening. They were only ever that- rumors. Abreu has a no-trade clause, and he was never even approached by the Phillies to waive it.
