Help with setting MAX Innings Pitched.

Postby lbbaseball14 » Wed Jan 11, 2006 4:22 pm

My league is a 10 team 5x5 roto league and our rosters look like this.

We have 9 P spots (either relief pitchers or starters... any combination) and 3 bench spots.

What is a good amount of Max Innings pitched for like 5 or 6 Starting pitchers and the rest relievers??

162*9IP=1458IP
adjust for not having a full set of MR
1350-1400 is good.

What about the minimum innings pitched, what would be a good number for that?

i don't think its important so long as you have a max. nobody will throw away W and K just to try and dominate SV, ERA, and WHIP

I like 900 as a minimum IP, just to make sure guys are starting SPs regularly and playing their relievers as well. 900-1400 is a good range for IP limits.

nothing to do with the question but had to share

a commish of one league last year set Innings Pitched as a category in a 14 x 8 roto league but also put a max on innings pitched as well :-?

doesnt make sense to cap a category that everyone can go for no?

I agree, 900-1400 is a good amount that makes sure all teams do pitch some starters and not just go with all closers route.

We carry 9 pitchers and also use 900 innings and 4250 at bats as minimums...
You don't have to like 'em to own 'em!!!!
