I think that Wright in the top 12 is a bit too ambitious.

95% of the Cafe would probably disagree with you. Alot of the people around here are super high on Wright, even in non-keepers. In keeper/dynasty leagues, I've seen him as high as 5th/6th on cheatsheets.

I think its because he probably will still sit vs hard lefties and the fact he's not eligible for a position except for DH.

Just curious Tav, where do you have him ranked? I've seen many people with him high, and some with him low as well. I'm really not sure where I'd be comfortable taking him yet.

I have him in the low 30s right now and as the 4th best 3B (A-Rod, Cabrera, Figgins). I still don't have a real good feeling for where he is going to go in that lineup and if it looks like he will be put inside the heart of the order and not at the tail end (5 or 6) then he would probably move ahead of Figgins slightly.

I haven't seen Wright ranked anything lower than 20 in rankings I have seen, and I haven't for one minute believed he deserved to be lower. The numbers don't lie.

99 Runs 176 Hits 27 Homeruns 102 RBIs 17 SB,and a .306 average in his second season. It is not unreasonable at all to project 35+ homeruns for the guy especially with all of the extra at-bats the Mets are going to provide for him. I would say that would easily qualify him for the top 12 of a list.

Every one of those category could probably be trumped by ARam, except for the steals. IMO, 35 homers are a little high at this point, especially hitting at Shea. I am not saying that he is not good, or is not a top 40 or so player. But, IMO, he is not a first rounder.
