Now why would he do that? Im not a Bavasi fan, but i like the deal. They needed a LH power bat. They needed a player with intensity. This team is laidback, with great chemistry through the years. One of best clubhouses around. Didn't win them anything. Guardado is the only guy who talks, and brings a little intensity to Seattle's game. Everett was cheap, 3.4 mil. I know Everett is past peak and declining, but 18 hrs 75 rbis is within reach. This problem child helped Chicago to a title, so he's not all bad. Hargrove got Everett. They tossed out some names, and asked Hargrove who he wanted. He picked Everett for his intensity. As far as losing US Cellular Field. Sure it hurts, but he was a better road hitter last year.
Home oba .285
Road oba .334
OPS .42 points better on road. Only his hr splits 15/8, favored home park.
3.4 mil for 18 hrs 75 rbis, and some intensity, isn't bad at all.
