Just got it a few days ago. It's a fun game. I never played Battlefront 1. I like the galactic conquest more than the storyline.

Got it the day it came out. This version is much better than the first when it comes to playing against other humans, but the space battles are about the easiest thing I've ever done against a computer - and that's with the difficulty set all the way up.

I like the galactic conquest, but since every other battle is a space battle, and since they are too freakin' easy to beat, the game gets old real quick.

Overall, I was disappointed with the sequel compared to the first, but I'm probably in the minority. Most people I know hated the first and like the second a lot.

I like the second a lot, but I hear your complaints. I was definitely a little disappointed about the space battles - that was the number one thing I'd been looking forward to. Not only are they pretty easy, but it's the SAME BATTLE every time, with two big ships, a couple smaller ships, and a bunch of fighters. I was hoping it would actually be like the battles in the movies, where there are lots of the capital ships on a much bigger scale, moving around and stuff. The only space battles I really like are the Coruscant one from the storyline, and that other one from the prequels where there are a handful of assault ships right up next to each other. The rebellion/Empire battles are dull, even though the dogfighting can be fun.

But the ground levels are awesome, the graphics are much better, the Jedi stuff is very cool, and the different game modes are a nice touch. ;-D

Never played the 2nd one but I loved the 1st one, I liked Galatic Conquest a lot as well probably the best part of the game. Playing online was fun too, besides that I didn't like anything else like the storyline. I'll probably just ask someone this for Christmas.

I'm currently getting into it now that I'm on break. I've started playing the first missions but I'm growing bored of them. Is Galactic conquest more fighting for checkpoints, rather than objectives?

Yeah its cool that you can battle in space but they are terribly redundant and you have to do them so frickin often. I've got my routine down pat to take out a Destroyer.

-Get in the rebel transporter.
-Fly towards the destroyer firing away to take out its shield.
-Once shield is down fly into dock of destroyer and get out of ship.
-Head towards control room and plant bombs at the Autodefense system to kill their autoturrets.
-Find ammunition and health droid to refresh.
-Go into engine room and plant bombs to disable their engines.
-Find ammunition and health droid to refresh.
-Go into Life support room and disable life support by once again planting bombs.
-Jump in one of the autoturret guns that gives you a good shot of the Sensor Relay and destroy it.
-Go back out to the hangar and take the Tie Bomber.
-Fly Tie Bomber and attack Command Bridge and Communications Relay.

I just get in a Y-Wing and dive bomb the Star Destroyer from back to front until I win. It's too simple. They have no guns that shoot up, and they never assign any TIE Fighters to guard the top of their ship.

How long does that take?
