Hey, AT...who do you think I should drop Livan for Chacon/Vargas/Santana?

As someone already mentioned, Vargas has moved up the system very quickly, often a great sign for a young prospect.

He's keeping the ball in the park (0 HR in 37+ IP) and preventing runs. His control is the only issue and in his last start, he had no problems. He seems unphased, has excellent tools and getting confident with each start. Definitely worth a bench spot right now in most leagues IMO.

He's had a good K/9 his whole professional career pretty much. Im really fond of those power pitchers and they normally turn out to become top studs. Hes a little wild sometimes only have K/BB around 2 so far in the pros but Im sure he could correct that. I think this kid is going to be a stud.

Ya gotta like young pitchers like Vargas who can strike people out and post good ratios even with some wildness. Lots of upside if he can tighten up his pitches a bit more. As an added bonus, he pitches in the NL, in a good pitchers park, on a team with good defense, and should get good run support from MCab, Delgado & Co.

I've gotten very nice production from Vargas and Ervin Santana, both of which I picked up the FA list. :-D

Meanwhile, many of the starters I drafted pretty high (Pavano, Odalis, Thomson, Pineiro, etc.) have given me nothing but grief. :-[
