mid-season draft

Postby Beisbol » Fri Jun 13, 2003 7:13 pm

I just completed my mid-season draft, and I am wondering how I did. My plan was to go with great SPs and forget saves, but I couldnt resist Foulke in the 9th round, so I got Williams eventually too. I think I am lacking in the SB and maybe run categories. It is a ten team 5x5 league, and the scoring doesn't start until after the all-star break. Heres my team:
Catcher: Benito Santiago
First Baseman: Derek Lee
Second Baseman: Marcus Giles
Third Baseman: Eric Hinske
Shortstop: Jose Hernandez
Outfielder: Albert Pujols
Outfielder: Magglio Ordoñez
Outfielder: Brian Giles
Outfielder: Sammy Sosa
Outfielder: Chipper Jones
2B/SS: Craig Biggio
1B/3B: Raul Ibañez
Utility: Johnny Damon
Pitcher: Barry Zito
Pitcher: Wade Miller
Pitcher: Mark Prior
Pitcher: Pedro Martinez
Pitcher: Byung-Hyun Kim
Pitcher: C.C. Sabathia
Pitcher: Vicente Padilla
Pitcher: Mike Williams
Pitcher: Keith Foulke
Bench: Mike Cameron
Bench: J.D. Drew
Bench: Francisco Rodriguez

Your pitching is indeed quite impressive but Santiago and Hernandez haven't been especially hot lately and Hinske isn't a very safe bet either, so you might want to adress those positions sooner or later...
