Farnsworth to ATL

Postby warrick95 » Sun Jul 31, 2005 3:57 pm

Just reported on TBS.

Braves get:
Kyle Farnsworth

Tigers get:
Roman Colon
Zach Miner

Hmm...I'm guessing Fernando Rodney closes in Detroit, but does Reitsma keep the job in Atlanta?

Arrgh, I have Reitsma, he better stay as the closer.

This just makes Atlanta even better, and that's just scary. :-o

I just picked up Rodney. He's going to close, right?

As soon as I get confirmation on who is going to close in Detroit, I'll be picking that guy up.

:~( NOOOOOOOOO ...

Reitsma will certainly remain closer, meaning Farney just turned into a RH setup man.

As to Detroit, it may be 50/50 between German and Rodney right now. I'm putting my money on the latter due to recent performance, but ...

Not good at all....I was relying on Farnsworth as my second closer.

I think Detroit has to use Rodney as the closer. If you look at his past 5 games as opposed to German's last five, its pretty obvious Detroit will be going with ROdney.

I kind of expected this. I was relying on Farnsworth too, but I made a deal for Hoffman in case Farnsworth ended up as a setup man for a contender.
