I got excited when I looked at his Yahoo profile and saw him listed as a "Catcher/First Base". When I went to pick him up, I was disappointed to see him listed as a 1B only.

He's not getting official catcher eligibility this year is he?

Probably not. Looks like he'll be doing the 1st base/DH thing for the rest of the year. They probably don't want to clutter his head with the extra stuff a catcher needs to worry about just concentrate on raking. Plus it's not like Da Meathook is tearing it up or anything.
Finally The Rock has come back....to New York City!!

This guy has been a good option even at 1B.. I traded Sexson just so I could get this guy in the lineup..

As a Tiger's fan, I wish we had a rookie of the year in Shelton, but unfortunately he doesn't qualify. He spent almost the entire 2004 season on the major league roster because he was a rule 5 pick. Maybe next year with Verlander, Zumaya, or Granderson...
