Coping with the all-star break...

Postby jjaeger » Mon Jul 11, 2005 1:56 pm

My god, it hasn't even been a day and I am starting to break out in cold sweats. What do you guys do during the all-star break to relieve the withdrawl? Re-tool teams? Hunt for sleepers? Post to forums? Help a brother out.

Hold midseason owners meetings at the bar to watch the homerun derby and discuss trades. Also since my private league with friends from high school is transaction fee based we give a 3 day period where transactions are free to retool your team for the second half and for the bottom dwellers to have time to improve their team without spending money on a lost cause.

Other than that, we do it to have a reason to go to the bar and get drunk. Personally, I'm using it as a reason to claim victory at the season's midpoint.

The All-Star break is some welcome time off for me this year. I need a few days mental break from it. For 14 weeks I've been tinkering and toying w/ 4 playoff contending H2H teams daily. Just a day or 2 off is all I need before I get itchy for some action.

Also, this is when I turn a half an eye towards FFB. So I'll be lurking over on the light side starting now.
