Are there any players you would suggest avoiding in the second half?

There arent any players that I would necessarily avoid but I can forsee less productive halves for players like A.Jones, BJ Ryan, S.Kazmir, T.Clark, and G.Chacin. I really dont have much information to back any of these picks but I have enough to form a strong hunch.

I agree with most of those picks...except BJ Ryan. Aside from your individual hunch, there's no reason to expect any decline in numbers in the 2nd half. It's not like he's pitching above his talent level...

He's putting up the same numbers he always has, he's just doing it as a closer now. I see no reason to expect a regression there. His K/9 and K/BB are some of the best in baseball. He doesn't give up too many HRs. He's not getting particularly lucky, he's just embracing the closer role and doing what he's always done.

Sorry, I just had to stick up for my man BJ. He should be getting some love as a top-5 closer.

Another one to look out for...John Garland.

Ahhhh don't tell me that. I would say avoid Derek Lee. What comes up, must come down and he's been up too long. I think we're starting to see him come down a little bit already.
