I trashed the manager of the league because he was a scab! the guy recruited me off of the message board claiming it was going to be the best league. He claimed it would have a random draft order but instead he put himself with the #1 pick and didn't change it ( I had the 8th pick out of 12). He then proceeded to draft one team with hitters and one team with pitchers and then do lopsided trades. 3 guys got mad about 1/3 of the way through and dumped their players. I think the manager of the league was gone for a week so I was able to pick all the top players that were dumped and I blew him away! That was the best feeling.

Postby rjforlife » Sat Jan 25, 2003 3:37 am

after years of coming up a little short in leagues where idiots rule, i finally one my first yahoo public league, finishing 191 on the yahoo overall rankings(not too shabby eh?) finally i can get into a coveted " winners" league and hopefully have some spirited competetion with some fresh fantasy minds besides the ones of my buddies whom i take on every year( god bless their souls).

Are the Baseball Winners geniuses? lol.. I'm gonna get creamed.

Any of you guys been to like Tout Wars or any of that??
Most of you are VERY knowledgable and I would think could hold your own with those "experts".

Last Year

Postby Ballwreckers » Sat Jan 25, 2003 4:44 am

I took three H2H last year..two full season and one was a second half league. My question for anyone is do you play in as many winner leagues that you won the previous year? I have won public leagues in yahoo before..not usually no more than one in a year.

I won 3 baseball leagues the year before last and they only let me join one yahoo winner league. Those guys were really competitive and I finished in 3rd place. It was one of the best public leagues that i've played in

I have won a few public leagues and 1 winners league. Let me know if anyone here is starting a league up on yahoo - I'd be interested in joining. Maybe one of the moderators of the site could start a league?

(Check the Classifieds, too, if you're looking for interesting leagues :-) )
