Best Centerfield Prospects

Postby JohnR » Sat Jul 02, 2005 10:29 am

My league uses position specificity in the Outfield. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any "under the radar" type players who play Centerfield who I may be able to pick up and stash away. Justin Upton is not eligible until next February. I have been able to compile a short list of players, but none really blow me away. Can anyone offer more?

Javier Herrera (I guess hed be my pick if I HAD to choose one from this list)
Richie Robnett
Michael Bourn
Miguel Negron
Anthony Webster

not looking for a speed only type of guy....looking for someone who may have some power and a solid OBP kinda guy...and "under the radar" type who could be a 5 tool talent

I think Elijah Dukes plays CF and is a 5 tool talent. The D-Rays would have to do something with Baldelli though.

I'd go with Herrera.

Murton has been playing LF in AA this year while Pie plays CF.

I want to try to keep it to a CF'er. I already have Billy Butler, Eddy Martinez-Esteve and Delmon Young for my corners. 2 of the 3 should pan out. Looking for a long term replacement in CF, someone who may be under the radar of my collegues.

Herrera, Bourn, Robnett and Webster seem to be the top 4 available with Justin Upton not being eligible til February.

Anyone know anything about Dexter Fowler? Supposed 5 tool talent in Colorado's system, but extremely raw. Love the name though

I'm excited to see what Pie can do at the Major league level! Cubs haven't had a good lead-off hitter in years.
