I agree that would be a great rotation but unless we can literally "buy low" on Schmidt, I dont want him. He has been dominant before, but this year, his performance has scaered me as an owner of his. I dealt him as I want nothing to do with him, nor do I want the Sox to have anything to do with him until I see he can string some solid outings together.
It might be close to impossible to deaql for a sure thing this year, so the interest in Schmidt is somewhat understandable. Still, it seems as if there are a handful of better risks on the market who could be had for a lower price...
According to today's Hartford Courant
"There are rumors that the Red Sox are close to acquiring Giants pitcher Jason Schmidt"
Who would we be giving up??? Anyone have any ideas? I think Schmidt would be a very good pitcher for the Sox.
