Is he going to get better? God yes, he's only the Rangers most prized hitting prospect.....Buck seems to love him and his work ethic, and is finding ways to get him into the lineup on most days. If you're wondering whether he makes a good keeper, there aren't much better, hitting-wise. Think this year's Blalock (who was last year's Teixeira) only better, which is asying a lot because Blalock is having a helluva year so far.

If you're wondering whether he's a great daily start this year, he's borderline, but again, Buck is finding him ABs even in that crowded situation (everett, sierra, blalock, raffy, etc etc.) and he'll put up solid numbers.

but as a keeper, hold onto him for dear life....

I don't think I would start Teixeira every week, yet. He's getting more ABs, but it still isn't regular. I would hold him in reserve until the Rangers start dumping excess players. I've heard the Yankees have inquired about Sierra, which would open up more ABs for Tex, but I think the odds are high that Everett will be dealt eventually as well. If those two are gone, Tex will get all the ABs he needs. He would then be a definite start, since he seems to be getting his feet under him now.
