Hopefully Cub management has learned from their mistakes and will tell the truth. Unfortunately I'm a little skeptical. My guess is he's back around the beginning of August.

Why even bring him back in August? The Cubs are definitely going to be out of contention by then...why would they risk the arm of their franchise? Just to sell a few extra tickets? Seems a little short-sighted to me.

Agreed, I think they should make a decision about his return based on how they are doing in the standings (not sure that's how cubs managment feels though). I'm not ready to say the Cubs are done yet this season. They're about 5 games out of the wildcard but their offense has been horrible this year. With Walker coming back from injury and ARam hopefully heating up that should improve. KW is supposed to be back in about a month or so and Nomar is said to be ahead of schedule. It's going to be tough, no doubt about that though.

I think the Cubs should hold him back. But definitely good news, for his owners. However, I'm much more excited about Big Ben tonight!!!!

That was very close to being career ending. So no matter what amount of time he is out we Cubs fans got lucky there :-°
