Green is about as close to being tagged "washed-up" as you can get. Hidalgo is a great sleeper candidate. Once the weather heats up, balls fly out of Texas. He is very capable of hitting 30 homers this year. If you hav better players on your bench, then by all means ignore him. However, if you can use the homers, then stop reading this and pick him up.

All of you Hidalgo owners can thank me for his success. I drafted him late and thought I had a steal. He stunk. I dropped him. He's kicking butt now.

Hidalgo, when he was on my team:
75 at-bats, 10 r, 2 hr, 9 rbi, .173/.235/.280

Hidalgo, since I dropped him:
63 at-bats, 13 r, 7 hr, 16 rbi, .286/.366/.651
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
