Halladay's on a roll

Postby nsulham » Tue May 27, 2003 10:52 pm

6 wins in a row I thought I heard or something like that? Glad I didn't hit the panic button begining of the season. All other Halladay owners feel free to rejoyce as well.

9 strong. He is looking like the stud we knew he was.

The "he won't be facing offenses this good all year" theory is holding up. I'm glad I stuck it out with him, although I admit, I was very close to accepting some tempting offers for him. Hopefully he will continue his stud ways.

now that he is "rolling" I've been thinking about selling high on him, maybe him and Lofton (waiver pickup about a week ago) for a #1 pitcher like Schilling or Pedro (maybe I can get him, hes on the 15 day)

what are your thoughts? is he gonna fly high all season? He is 6 and 2, but thats in part because of the CRAZY amount of offense hes been getting... if I can get someone as good as Pedro do I do it?

By the by, Halladays next 3 starts are BOS at home, @StL and @CIN so I dont think hes gonna have a very good start for a while.

He's also been facing harder teams in the earlier season, and it looks like nothing but easy for the stretch...

I'm sure glad I traded Derek Lee to get Halladay about a week ago in one league.

I consider Halladay the best pitcher in the AL after Zito, Pedro, and Mulder. He's got wicked stuff. There was no reason he was gonna continue to slump. I tried to offer a hot Mussina and Woody for Oswalt and Halladay weeks ago, but that got rejected.

There you are Roy.

My best waiver pick up would be Mark Prior.
