Geez, how many games is he going to go 0-4? I'm starting to wonder if I should just drop him for a third baseman on waivers. This is stinking up my average.

He's always been a slow starter that heats up in June, July, and August. Absolutely do not dump him to waivers. He is a top 3 third baseman and should still go .280-40-110.

I traded for Chavez and I ONLY play him against righties. It has worked wonders for me.

HE'S BATTING 0.89 VERSUS LEFTIES FOR GOD'S SAKE!!
.322, 17 R, 7HR, 17 RBI, 4 SB is pretty decent considering he's only played about 65% of my games.

How has it worked wonders when he's usually 0-4 every game?

I wish I traded him before the season started, now all of us are stuck with him until he gets it going. So far, he is "Suckin Ass"

He most likely will go on a tear in July and August, which have historically been when he cranks it up. He is hitting something like .320 against righties and .070 against lefties, so if you have another 3B on your roster, start the other 3B when the A's are facing a lefty.

i like that system and i think i'm going to try to use it, but i need to pick up another thirdbaseman for it to work. who would you suggest?
Available Free Agents: Castilla, Mueller, Relaford, Ventura, Vazquez, Stynes, Rameriz, Teixeira, Alfonzo.

Also, to pick one of these guys up, i'd have to drop someone, but i'm not sure anyone i have is worth dropping for one of these guys.
My team:
C: Posada
1B: Palmeiro
2B: Soriano
3B: Chavez
SS: Jeter
OF: Berkman, Giles, Bonds
Util: Furcal, Burrell
Bench: Pierre
SP: Perez, Oswalt, Schmidt, Miller, Prior, Sabathia
RP: Wagner, Williamson, Benitez, Koch
DL: Unit

I'd take Ramirez or Alfonzo. Probably, I'd take Ramirez right now, while he is on fire and is batting behind Brian Giles. Longer term, Alfonzo might be a better option, because he should be batting behind Bonds once he heats it up which should mean lots of pitches to hit and RBI opps.
