start odalis in CO?

Postby kingman2003 » Tue May 27, 2003 6:16 pm

what do you guys think? i think i'm going to start him. i figure that if he gives up a dinger or two it's not the end of the world. he is not a finesse pichter that puts a lot of men on base, which would put him in danger of giving up a three run shot or something. let me know what you guys think.

thanks

I've got 4 closers (two of them are RP,SP) so I'd have to sit a closer to play Odalis, as Mussina and another guy are pitching for me so I don't think I'll be playing Odalis mainly based on the matchup.
The odds of the AL MVP coming from the American League are looking pretty good.

For what it's worth, Odalis is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA and 1.00 WHIP and a complete game in three starts at Coors in his career.

I like Odalis. Start him anywhere. He's very underrated. 0.99 WHIP last season.

He is very underrated but Coors is Coors. Unless I need a W or some K's he sits, cause a start at Col isn't going to help my ERA and WHIP.

Look at the above post in regards to his record and era at Coors. Very nice. Odalis is worth the start!

I started Vazquez at Coors a while back. He pitched well but didn't get the win due to a damn rain delay.

3 starts is not enough to determine a pattern. He might pitch great at Coors but I don't think it is worth the risk unless you need K's or a win.
