$$$ keeper league has one opening

14-team league through Sportsline, all experienced and competitive managers. $25 buy-in, $1 adds, $1 drops, and free, unlimited trades. We have an opening for one team whose manager bailed after the draft, and never bought in. You keep 3 position players and 2 pitchers at end of season; you cannot keep players for more than 3 years.

You must have a PayPal account to process the fees. We'll probably throw in some incentives, such as 5 free transactions to change your roster and/or buy-in discount, depending on the amount of interest. Obviously, anyone who's willing to pay full fees will get priority in consideration.

There are three divisions of five teams each. Eight teams make the playoffs. The three division winners receive 10% of the total pot, minus league fees. The team with the highest point total receives 20% and the league champion takes home the remaining 50%.

Following the 2005 season, teams will be able to hold on to, or keep, five players from their previous roster. A team may keep up to three position players and two pitchers. The difference in number is based on there being more position players active at one time compared to pitchers. Keepers for an upcoming season will be due one week before the draft, starting in 2006. The 2005 season does not count as one season as a keeper . If a player designated as a keeper is traded to another team, he is no longer considered a keeper.

Trades must pass through league approval. Any deal that gets four votes against -- one third of the remaining teams -- will not be processed.

The league works on a weekly schedule. Waiver priority will be determined by record, worst to first. Waivers will be processed on Thursdays, giving those teams who only have online access during the week a chance to make adjustments.
