From Fanball
May 18 Oliver Perez will be the Pirate's starting pitcher for the first time since May 6 when they host the Rockies on Saturday, reports MLB.com. The left-hander, who threw bullpen sessions on Friday and Sunday, has missed his last two starts because of stiffness in his left shoulder. "I'm very encouraged [by his progress]," manager Lloyd McClendon said. "I'm anxious to see how it is going to turn out."
Hopefully the time off and going against the Rockies (away from Coors) will get him on track
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis
Stewie : [watching a baseball game] Why does that man drop his club before he runs? I would bring it with me!

I'm crossing my fingers that they fixed whatever was wrong with him. I'll probably end up starting him.
I'm on my last leg as far as starters go after losing Schmidt, Harden and now Thomson.
