May 17 Nationals outfielder Jose Guillen will miss the next three games due to a muscle pull in his right rib cage and sore left triceps. The injuries are rendering him ineffective, and he knows sitting is best for the club. "I'm really banged up. It's going to be the best for me and the team," Guillen told MLB.com. "I'm going to shut it down and start working with the doctor and see if I could get better. I really can't swing the bat right now." He hopes to return Friday.
