He hasn't been terribly inconsistent. A sub-par start or two, but for the most part he has been very solid.
He used to be a bonafide ace, but it seemed last year if the extra weight had caught up to him. He might not be any slimmer, but he seems to have regained some confidence this year.
My line: 17 wins (pitching for a solid Angels team) 3.50 ERA, 1.25WHIP, 175K's. Very solid, and a very nice #2 option for your fantasy team.
I might be higher on him than others, but I think he has fully recovered from his horrible 2004 campaign.
