1st Place team w/big holes...

Postby blindhunter » Fri May 16, 2003 11:14 am

I'm currently tied for 1st but I think I've got some big holes that are going to start showing up - primarily starting pitching and 3rd base. Who should I try to sell high? Is it safe to run with just Jeter or should I save AG as a backup?

Jeter is safe, but you really should have back up at every position.

You have the advantage in trading, your in first so this shouldnt be too hard.

Boston is in the middle of a homestand, so I think Derek Lowe will pitch well in his next start or two so you could try to sell him after that.

At 3b, if Alfonzo is out there pick him up, you might be able to trade for him (dont give Shea though) if his owner thinks this rebound is only temporary.

You could use an ace pitcher. For this you might have to give up someone like Smoltz.
