Actually you're wrong, he's regarded as having some of the best stuff in the majors and also has very good control. Perfect for a closer. The problem is has he got the mentality to close? He sure didn't have it as a starter.
But his record as an MR is decent. Last year he came into a lot of games with the Braves in trouble and did very well in those situations. He allowed just 3 of 19 inherited runners to score.
He's started off very well this year. But who knows. A battling starter with very good stuff moved to the bullpen. Don't the Dodgers have a closer that fits that description
Time will tell if and when he gets a chance to close but I've got a feeling we're going to find out in the next few days and if you've got the space, there's no harm in putting him on your bench to find out.
