Nevin, Giles, Loretta and Klesko have been in the league for 10 years or more. To say that there getting better with age would be very foolish of you. Nady and Hernadez look good this season but there team is still pretty old. There an average-to below-average team. Dont be bias
An average-to-below-average team that won 87 games last year??? All with Peavy (who gave up more than two earned runs only twice last year) hurt for five starts, without a #5 starter, with Hernandez missing over 50 games, with Khalil gone during September, without Nady on the club, and with a damaged Klesko. That's AT LEAST a difference of 6 games, and 6 is being very generous. Those 6 games win the Padres the division.
To call the Padres a below average team is absurd. The only Tiger who would start at his position in San Diego would be Rodriguez and a healthy Magglio. Don't try to say Guillen; he had a fluke season and is aging (that's using your same philosophy on Loretta, whose numbers have been going up every season he's been in San Diego.)
Alright, so I think the 2 runs scored off starters in the last 30 innings by the Padres might have something to do with this post. I'm hoping that maybe by confessing my wrong-doings we may begin to hit again. So here goes:
Klesko sucks, Giles sucks, Nevin sucks, Hernandez sucks, Nady sucks, Loretta sucks, Burroughs sucks, Blum sucks, Greene sucks, Sweeney sucks, Garcia sucks, Ojeda sucks, and Hyzdu sucks. I think that covers it. Now please, baseball Gods. Have mercy on my soul and at least let us score in the next game. Thanks.
Anyone else have any suggestions about what I can do to get this offense rolling?
