Hey guys, I'm looking for some info on Eric Hinske's minor league scouting reports. Did everybody think he was a high-ceiling type, or was he more of a reach his potential his first year with little improvement later on?

Reason I'm asking is I'm trying to figure if at age 27, has he hit his prime and is ready to break out to his full potential, or is he primed for another -04 campaign?

I think Hinske can reach his 2002 numbers. And maybe steal 20 bags as well. I don't think he's much better than that. He may have a 30 homers season in him at some point. But I believe he'll settle into a 20-27 HR, 85-95 RBI, 85 R, .285 AVE, 15 SB type of guy. Pretty good but not spectacular. He's left 3rd base behind so he can totally concentrate on his hitting. And so far, so good.

hinske was always looked at as a high ceiling sort of third baseman.

But then again, so was Brandon Larson <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>
