From ESPN.com, says he will not retire and will not speak to the media anymore either -

Thanks for such a thought filled and insightful response. ;-7

In all seriousness, some thought he might walk away for good although the prevailing attitude was that he would return some time this year.

I don't think so. How much time he is playing this year is still very up in the air. He could miss a lot of time. So I think its a little early to say they got a great deal.

I hope so. I couldn't do my draft so a friend of mine did it and I did end up getting Bonds in the 14th round. At first, I was upset (rather would've been the person making fun of the person who drafted Bonds) but if he does come back... could be great value (OPS league as well).

Anyone who has an opportunity to take Bonds in the 14th round and doesn't do it has just made a major mistake. The only reason for thinking he won't be his usual force by June is one whiny interview he had, that he has already begun to repudiate. Until I start reading medical opinions that he actually has a serious problem, it's hard for me not to assume that he might be, you know...Barry Bonds?

I knew Bonds wouldn't retire. He did say that he doesn't know how long he'll be out, but that doesn't mean til the All Star Break like some people think. The Giant's trainer Stan Conte said that nothing new has happened to the knee, so basically they are just at square one like they were after the first surgery. He'll probably miss a month or a little longer.
