Maryvale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday released right-handed pitcher Brooks Kieschnick, who had cleared waivers.
The 32-year-old Kieschnick went 2-2 with a 4.59 ERA over 74 total innings with Milwaukee in 2003 and 2004. The Texas product, who also plays as a part- time outfielder, batted .286 with eight homers and 19 RBI in 133 at-bats over the last two seasons.
Kieschnick has a career .248 batting average with 16 homers and 46 runs driven in over six major seasons with the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies and Milwaukee.
