I normally avoid Bonds in all my league drafts. Not my type of 1st round player based on age and injury risk.

This year in my auction league I got stuck with two players I did not want. Guess which 2....Bonds and Prior. Amazing if not unbeliveable. I get stuck with a $30 Bonds and a $23 Prior and get screwed. Neither player is one I ever draft in any Roto league because of the injury risk factor. The one time I get these guys....bam. Not only hurt, but hurt in March.

if i were to draft again, i would target bonds around 60. he is almost guaranteed to be there, judging by your guys's responses, and if he returns to being bonds, you just got yourself an early 2nd round pick for the price of a 5th/6th.

If he slid to me in the 3rd round I would take him.

I was watching a some baseball recap show a Fox Sports Net station today, and their fantasy analyst was recommending that people snap up Barry as early as the 1st or 2nd round ... pretty funny. Even if you think he's going only going to be on the DL for a month, you've got to let him drop a bit to get a better value. At least in a 5x5 league.

I have seen him go in the 3rd round most of the time, if he slids to the forth i would grab him up. This is barry bonds, just think about that, perhaps the greatest hitter ever is being taken in the fourth round! The guy has one hell of a worth ethic and I think he will be back by mid-may, with his production that is the biggest steal of any draft.

A good resource is ESPN's live draft results, if you are wondering where certain players fall.

I wouldn't have that scumbag on my team as a free agent, but I was sorry to see him slide into the 12th round yesterday. Somebody probably got a major bargain because most of his whining the other day was a pathetic attempt to garner sympathy.

I would still take him in the 5th or 6th if he fell that far...but I am not gonna jump any higher than that...if someone else wants to...I'll let them worry with him... :-)

My draft was LAST Sunday 3/20 before all of this nonsense hit. I took him 25th pick 3rd round. I still believe he'll play by May and I also have J.Edmonds, Carlos, Lee, A.Rowand, S.Finley and A.Kearns.

Just did a non keeper draft and i landed Mr. Bonds with the 90th pick. :-)

I expect him back in 2 to 3 months. If not oh well, no guts, no glory.
