Heard that the front office got ok from owner to eat this guys contract and just get him off the team....the dude is done.

man...gotay's name has been coming up a lot these days... :-? you guys are starting to make me believe he'll actually be a nice surprise this year. ;-)

Spoken like a true Mets fan. At least Giambi not only had a couple of good seasons but could still potentially come back and play decent. I seem to remember a couple of signings by the mets in the last 20 years which easily would trump the Giambi signing (Bobby Bonilla and Mo Vaughn).
