High Stakes League Needs 4 Owners (5X5 Nonkeeper)

Postby sharptalons » Wed Mar 23, 2005 6:37 pm

For the third consecutive year, the Cactus Brushback league will be in action. However, due to time constraints we have lost 4 owners this past offseason.
Contact me at if you are interested. I have numerous references. The impending draft date is Monday the 28th 8:30 PM EST. Tuesday is the emergency date. The "serpentine" 24 round draft will be taking place via CBS Sportsline. We have owners from the West Coast, Australia and the East Coast.

Here is a quick summary:

650 dollar franchise fee with unlimited moves

12 teams - 1st 54% ($4100) 2nd 31.5% ($2400), 3rd 14.5% ($1100)

Restrictive trade barriers to counter collusion

Weekly scoring periods, starting on Mondays.

Min/Max: Min AB: 3500
Min IP: 1000
• Teams not meeting the minimums will receive 0 points in categories using AB or IP (e.g., BA or ERA)

Fees: League Entry Fee: $650.00

Scoring: Rotisserie System.

Scoring for Batting Categories
BA - Batting Average
HR - Home Runs
R - Runs
RBI - Runs Batted In
SB - Stolen Bases

Scoring for Pitching Categories
ERA - Earned Run Average
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher)
S - Saves
W - Wins
WHIP - Walks + Hits / Inning

22 Active Players
3 Reserves
2 Injured Reserves (*must meet criteria as specified below in Section VII.)

(A) Trades are subject to a 2-day voting-period, where at most 5 objections are allowed before the commissioners step in and make an objective judgment on the validity of the trade. In the unlikely event that the commissioner(s) is one of the parties involved in a controversial trade, a randomly selected commission of three owners shall judge accordingly on the matter. Their decision shall be final.

( There is a trade deadline of 08/01/05 Midnight (12:00:00 EST). No trades can be made after that time.

(C) Adds and drops can be made by all owners in the league, however, only a total of 3 combination add/drops (6 singular moves in total) are allowed per week/scoring period. This clause will ultimately level the playing field for all and safeguard the player pool from aggressive “vulture” tactics since it is “first come, first serve” 6 of 7 days. So, choose wisely.

(D) The waiver wire period is active seven days a week. Players put on waivers will maintain waiver status for 48 hours. This cycle will continue until the conclusion of the regular season.
