worst picks ever?

my worst move last year was dropping beltre at the beginning of the season. :-° but to my defense i had helton at first, rolen at third and ortiz at util so beltre would barely have played, and i ended up winning the league because i had rolen, rj and victor martinez, but it hurt nonetheless.

the worst draft pick i saw this year was this guy taking bill mueller in the fourth round, and helton with the number 2 overall pick. in a supposed experts league too. also giles in the beginning of the third and bj ryan in the mid fifth were early, but i suppose defendable. :-?

In my winners league, some guy drafted
Ortiz first round @ 8 (santana/ManRam still there)
Javy Lopez second round, (1st catcher off the board, left helton/Beltre etc etc)
Kolb third round

Don't think he'll be a strong competitor for me this season

Nothing too absurd happened in my draft as far as I can tell, though there were definitely a few curious picks. But that was to be expected as a couple people didn't do much research at all, and a couple of us are complete fantasy baseball newbies.

In an 8 team league ...

Jeter went 11th overall.
Clemens went 14th overall.
Juan Pierre went 17th overall in the 3rd round, with Ichiro and A. Rod being the ones this guy picked before JP ... later he picked Luis Castillo as his primary 2nd basemen ... I guess went wanted to make sure he had plenty of speed).
Ivan Rodriguez went 18th overall.
Mussina went 25th overall.
Armando Benitez was the first relief pitcher to go, at 31st overall.
Varitek at 40th overall, when Javy Lopez, Victor Martinez, Jorge Posada, Jason Kendall and Mike Piazza were all still available.

Oh, and Larry Walker 31st overall.

Those are the ones I had the most difficult time understanding.
