Looks like its going to be a long season for the Royals.

There are some promising signs DeJesus and Buck particularly. And the rotation looks like a strength:

Gobble and

But the only team that you can realistically expect to finish ahead of are the lowly Tigers with their sad rotation of:

Robertson and

I would take every Royals starter over each Tigers SP (their staff psychiatrist must be working overtime - shell shock is treatable :-D )

The rotation isn't much worse off than several AL teams. The offense is the major concern.

Exactly what I was thinking. What happened to that corner outfielder with power we were promised. :~(

Amen to the concerns on offense. Offensively, this is not going to be a good Krispy Kreme year!

Pitching will be okay (especially with Guy Hansen on staff). I think the Tigers staff will be much improved this year (their older and certainly shouldn't be any worse than the last two years)

Im afraid that the Tigers will finish ahead of the Royals this year which is sad, but the Tigers dont mind spending money (I-Rod, Maggs, Percival) and the royals simply wont spend

Keep dreaming Mookie. :-°

This is a last place team with very few prospects. Trust me, I know how it feels. Hopefully the Royals can get some nice young players coming through the farm this yr - maybe then their owners will open up their notoriously tight purse strings.

As for being better than the Tigers, Ill give you Greinke - who is special - but thats about it.
